About Us

Welcome to SCC Builds. With over two decades in the construction industry, I'm proud to introduce myself as the founder alongside my wife and business partner, Erin  dedicated to craftsmanship and elevating the customer experience.

My journey began as an apprentice carpenter under Allen Anderson in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, building custom homes and renovations. Over six years, I immersed myself in every corner of the trade.

In search of new challenges, Erin and I ventured to Bala, Ontario, where I joined a Muskoka building company specializing in high-end homes. For seven years I helped craft luxurious residences, learning the intricacies of Arts and Crafts construction.

It was during one of our travels out west that we discovered another passion  the mountains. Entranced by their majesty and the lifestyle they offered, we settled in Banff, Alberta. There, I had the privilege of restoring iconic landmarks including the Banff Springs Hotel, Jasper Park Lodge, Château Lake Louise, and the Swiss Guides' Cabin. I even spent a year as a ski bum restoring the Lake Louise ski hill's main lodge  nothing like catching first tracks on your way to work.

My expertise expanded further into project management, overseeing the construction of high-end homes in downtown Calgary and medium-sized commercial buildings across the Bow Valley and Calgary.

Yet the call of home eventually won out, and we returned to Bobcaygeon in 2016 to fulfill our dream of owning a farm raising two wonderful children in a community our two families have been part of for seven generations.

The vision for SCC Builds grew out of a deep desire to bring real craftsmanship to every project and to make the building process better for our clients  more transparent, more collaborative, and built with a genuine eye for detail. There's nothing like watching a client's face when their vision finally comes to life.

As we grow, we're integrating modern building software into how we work, so every project runs efficiently and every client stays in the loop from first sketch to final walkthrough. We look forward to building something extraordinary with you.
